The @one LIFE Behavioural Safety Programme aims to elevate our awareness risk and is focussed on creating a culture where we all feel empowered to challenge, intervene and stop unsafe behaviours and practices and provide a space to reflect on how we can all make safer choices.
Our LIFE Principles are:
What is Behavioural Safety? Our LIFE Behavioural Safety Programme focusses on the psychology of people and how we can build an interdependant safety culture via consistent leadership in safe behaviour, in order to support all our safety systems.
Behavioural Safety Bitesize is a series of 'bitesize' awareness sessions aimed at increasing understanding of the impact and influence of our behaviours in creating a safer working environment.
These resources are intended to be used to start a conversation around Behavioural Safety.
Try to encourage an open and honest conversation, maybe consider the following questions:
• What are the reasons we ‘cut corners’?
• How can we increase our ‘awareness of risk’?
• How can we make ‘safer choices’?
• How can we be more proactive in ‘active supervision’ and ‘positive intervention’?
The LIFE Behavioural Safety Programme aims to cultivate a safety first mindset, where we care for each others safety above all else. Our goal is to build an organisation that takes zero risks and leads in modelling our H,S, WB Commitments – Be fit for work, Only start when it’s safe to do so, actively supervise, Stop if anything changes.
Nothing is so important we cannot take the time to do it safely!
